Telemarketers - grrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I swear they're stalking me! We never used to get that many in Canberra but I'm getting about 4-6 a day sometimes now. It's become 'open season'. I think they 'on-sell' lists of names to other places and then everyone rings up. Guide Dogs (we support them a few times a year) have phoned at least 6 times in the past 2 weeks!!! (A nicer beach towel coming up....)

Good way to handle them Arby...although Jess here has some other ideas that I can't mention LOL. Sometimes, though, the line is so baaaaaad (cough) that I can't understand them and I'm forced to hang up! I could thank them for calling 'Luigi's Pizzas' I suppose and read out the menu!!! lol!

I have been a bit shitty lately because i just can't seem to keep on top of all the house stuff, cleaning, washing, paying bills etc. So today i made a huge effort to tidy up the house ( I wouldn't say it is really clean.. ah aha ha).. and anyway, sam has only been up from his arvo sleep for an hour and a half and he has already made parts of it untidy..

It is hard.... i clean my house spotlesly once a week as well as do all the laundry once a week...then through out the week i devote 15 20 minutes after the kids have gone to bed to tidying up the bulk of mess..like dishes, toys and a sweep through...pick up any clothes...bam all done....so the next morning the house can be started all over again...lol and it feels better to know that when u wake up then its at least tidyish...but it usually lasts and hour very frustrating i klnow

What gets my goat is when a Sh@@head kid at school pulls the chair out from under your kid and they may have a broken back.......
Amy had this happen today and she might have broken her coccyx... Again...
It has been broken before but in a trampoline accident.
And the kid got a lunchtime detention... Same as if you don't do your homework.

Anyway she has xrays tomorrow and another doctor visit.....

This is such a dreadful thing to happen to Amy. If her diagnosis is very serious maybe the kid's family should be told. They will never learn the seriousness of what has happened by just a lunchtime detention. Might depend on the age of the child involved though as to what they can do about it. Hope all goes well tomorrow for Amy's x-rays and doctor's visit. xo

Thinking of you and hope all goes well today Arby for the Doc's visit and x-rays. With any luck that silly kid has been made aware now of the seriousness of what they did. And hope they NEVER do it to anyone again. Hugs and special thoughts for a speedy recovery. Take care

Well she has had the xrays and the doc said he can not see a break but the xray people have to have a look at the xrays coz back xrays are very hard to read. He said that the treatment is the same even if there is a break low down. REST REST and more REST..... and a soft pillow!!
Anyway the school will be hearing from me and I will probably keep her home tomorrow as well. Thanks for all your wishes and I will pass them on to Amy. Now we are off to the orthadontist coz her plate thing is rubbing and giving her blisters in her mouth... Great fun in our house...

When your washing machine turns feral and the sounds of thunderous gushing water means yours laundry has been turned into a tourist attraction!!! Not to mention needing a row boat to get across the river....

Tina I know what you mean! I got the stuff for the SM challenge yesterday and the stuff is ummmm. Very dificult to work with. Half a dozen ribbons, 9 buttons and some flowers and a few metal embellishments. ALL in bright red Dark blue and bright blue colours so I am finding it a bit of a .... Well challenge!!
To me Ribbon and flowers are usually an add on not the focus. So they want the products to remain the focus but it is hard work. I have done 1 LO and one card. I am going to try to do another of each at least.

But what gets my goat is when scrapping becomes a chore not a pleasure!!

Buzzy.... SWIM, SWIM, FAST, quick!!!!

Arby, good luck with the scrapping and hoping your DD recovers soon !
I once had a chair pulled out from behind me, (4th grade), and I hit my head. I didn't realise until later that I had a severe concussion !

Something that really gets my goat is neighbourhood noise pollution.Mad Mad Mad
In particular, blower vacs, barking dogs and any machinery / power tools used at "premium" times - you know, at the time you're most likely to want to sit on your verandah and relax or something !!! Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Cheers,
