Who and where do you get your inspiration from

Post by Tina Head Lady on Sat Aug 09, 2008 2:18 pm

I know that I get from quite a variety of places and people, I have mentioned in another thread where i get my inspiration....but I thought if we can have a thread dedicated just to this topic, it would be a great place for every-one to maybe find some different inspiration from a much wider variety of scrappers....

So I will start by listing my inspirations....lol
Scrapperlicious :- scrapperlicious.blogspot.com
Robinsberdz she unfortunatley doesn't have a blog, but her work can be found here :- http://www.scrapbook.com/places/Robinzberdz
Spinnvild :- http://ingvild-bolme.blogspot.com/
2Dogs :- http://www.scrapbook.com/places/2dogs
Catz who is 2dogs sister...lol :- http://www.scrapbook.com/places/Catz

There are so many more but for now I think this will do....lol

well, i'm not sucking up the boss ladies butt! but i get a lot of inspiration from tina's work actually! i'm sure we all agree she has a style all of her own!

And lately i have had a bit of inspiration from anthea.....don't know what it is exactly but something is grabbing me so i have applied a bit of both these girls inspirations in this 60th album i'm making, so being a learner and all it has helped dramatically thanks girls, now i haven't run out of idea's! hi girls i get my inspiration from http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/.
I know its american but there are some great ladies on there, however lately i spend most of my time here and at scraploot and all your blogs and dont have time to visit two peas, so i guess my inspiration is closer to home. I also get inspiration from the photos, im anal when it comes to matching papers and card stock to colours in my photos so i guess you can say from there too.

Lots of inspiration from everywhere. I'll have to check all of these links out (Spinnvild's is amazing Tina, such delicate and precise detail and I love the raised and rough edges she often leaves to her papers....I've been inspired by that already.)

I've bookmarked masses of blogs now and like to check some out from time-to-time if the mojo slackens a bit. There are always people who have that ability to inspire you further with what you do yourself. Far to many to list here, but I'll go through and find a particaular lady (from Sth America I think) who does amazing 3-D and art-based layouts. She adheres lots of thick embellies to her work and is just amazing.

I get inspiration from not just other scrappers (incl the fabulous scrappers here on this forum, and on other forums and galleries) and mags but even shop layouts and colour advertising in home and decorating mags, catalogues, even just going through old childrens books can spark something new to try. And I love op-shopping for unusual little bits and pieces to use with scrapping.
